I asked my friends what they would do for a living if they weren’t at their current job. Answers turned out to be amazing: B would own a pizza restaurant, M would run a football center, S would produce music festivals, J would be a photographer and N would produce luxury-brand fashion shows. P would have a fashion showroom, C would own a food truck with her family and JP would be a university teacher and chairman, eventually (nerd alert). The funny thing was that once they said it out loud, all these jobs were SO suitable for each one of them! I quit my job today in order to pursue my dream of becoming a full time artist. I want my dream to match my job and make a living out of it. It took me a couple of years to realize what I deeply wanted to do for the rest of my life and I feel it’s the right time to take a leap of faith on this. I know I’m not only quitting my job but also the opportunity of living by myself, or going on a nice holiday somewhere far. I’m pretty sure there will be ups and downs but I also know that in the end all this effort will pay off as I will enjoy the journey of doing what I am truly passionate about. Otherwise, I have loved ones that will buy my art if no one does cause that’s what family and friends are for, right? What would you do for a living if you weren’t at your current job?
