ABOUT FRAMING

Prior to framing, the work must be mounted on a support. Conservation mounting is strongly recommended. This means that at any time in the future, you would be able to remove your artwork from the framing structure without causing any damage.

Nonglare glass works well on pieces placed directly in front of a window. The drawback is that this glass tends to soften the image and give a slightly fuzzy appearance to the work. It also gives low UV protection.

A neat boxed wooden frame is advisable.
Use of matboard on top of the artwork is discouraged as irregular edge is one of the main features of the handmade sheet. Margins from 5 to 9cm (2 to 3.5 inches) enhance the piece to the maximum.
